<fb:share-button href="http://apenow.com/free-pet-advice/training-your-dog-to-fetch/" type="box_count"></fb:share-button>
Training your dog to fetch should give you and your dog a good time. If you give to your dog some positive attention, he will do whatever you want!
Find the reward that best motivates your dog and stick with it. Maybe it’s a squeaky toy, or maybe a Treat Training Tube stuffed with treats.

Work with your dog daily in 5 to 15 minute sessions.

Keep training fun, and on the end reward him with something you’ll know he would like. If you feel yourself frustrated or tired, quit and try again later.

Training Your Dog To Fetch

With your dog on a long leash, give him the command “sit”. Take the object and toss it a few feet from the dog. Then, command, “fetch”, and let your dog run after the toy. Once he has it in his mouth, gently draw him back to you by means of the lead. Show him a tasty food treat and give him the command, “release” or “drop it”.

It is very important that your pet give the object to you willingly!!!

If he learned this trick quickly, he can play for hours.
Other dogs may not be so enthusiastic about “surrendering” their favorite toy, so make sure you reward your dog with praise and treats.
Once your dog brings the object back to you, remove the leash and have him fetch the object on his own. Teach your dog the names of different objects.
Once he understands the concept of “fetch”, work with one object at a time and call it by name until he can identify the object by name.
If you want your dog to get the morning newspaper, start by throwing a paper.
Then, give the command “fetch paper”. As your dog learns the names of different objects, give him exercise by laying out 3 or 4 different objects and asking for them by name. You will see how smart your dog is!!!
Continue to practice this over and over. Always use a happy voice and lots of positive reactions. Your dog will understand and will begin fetching all kinds of things.

Training your dog to fetch should be fun

The keys to success in teaching your dog tricks are 4 P’s:

Patience

Practice

Praise

Persistence

Tricks are fun – and learning how to do them should be fun, too.

Your dog has a natural fetch drive, and he naturally drops whatever he’s got, then you’re able to skip a couple of steps. However, his current age will affect his attention span, so keep realistic expectations!

Remember, patience is main key for training your dog to fetch!!!

On the end, we are hoping that this article will help you to share with us your training fetch classes!!!

Coprophagia or so called Stool Eating is one of the most common dog behavior problems. We stated several reasons why do our dogs eating their own poop in our previous article Why Do Dogs Eat Their Own Poop and now we will discuss about

How To Stop Dog Eating Poop

How To Stop Dog Eating Poop

If your puppy needs protein and there is undigested protein in the stool and your puppy seeks it out and devours the stool, it is very important to prevent this immediately.

Prevention of this behavior is essential. Redirect with the leash.Take your dog for bathroom breaks on-leash and do not allow her to return to her stool.

After the main growth spurts have passed, this instinct will pass as well.

Consider changing to a better-quality food. If your puppy is craving additional protein, you may need to supply him with a higher-quality food. There are also meal supplements that supposedly make the stool less palatable.

Eliminating The Traces Of The Other Dogs

If your dog lives in multiple-dog household, he may eat the other dogs’ stool in an attempt to eliminate the traces of the other dogs.

The solution to this problem is a bit more complicated, but

providing leadership and guidance will be essential to elimination of competition feelings and stress.

Persistent Coprophagia

While your dog is outdoors, monitor her from a remote location.

Correct with the device when your dog approaches the stool.

To prevent your dog from being scared in the yard, this treatment is not to be tried without formal obedience training and formal remote device training first.

Getting Rid of Fleas With Household Items

I’ve heard of a similar method using a tray or bowl of soapy water and an adjustable lamp. The lamp must have an INCANDESCENT bulb, as a flouorescent bulb won’t produce the heat needed to attract the fleas.

Take a lamp with the light on an adjustable arm and position the light over the water. This prevents the fire hazard of leaving a burning candle unattended, but make sure that the lamp is stable and won’t fall over onto a carpet or into the water, otherwise it’s just another kind of hazard.

Another way to get rid of fleas from your pets is to add a 3 tablespoons of white organic vinegar to about 1 gallon of water and let the pets drink that water from now on.

I’ve heard people use Apple cider vinegar instead, not sure if it works though, but white organic vinegar definately works on pets… it will take a few days to see results, and you’ll never see fleas on your pets again if you keep giving them that mixture to drink daily instead of plain water.

A best way to get rid of fleas is prevention. Getting rid of fleas for pet owners seems like a never ending story but if you follow these steps you can learn how to get rid of them.

How to Get Rid of Fleas in 9 Easy Steps

The best way to get rid of fleas is by prevention; fleas thrive in heat and humidity (and are most active in summer and fall), so assess your pet and his environment frequently.

Help prevent fleas indoors by vacuuming your home thoroughly and frequently, paying close attention to corners, cracks, crevices and basements. Dispose of vacuum cleaner bags conscientiously, as adult fleas can escape. Also, choose your pet’s friends wisely; avoid animals you suspect may carry fleas. Dog parks are fun, but a move-able feast for fleas!

Remove any fleas from your pet using a fine-toothed pet comb designed for flea removal, and drop the fleas into soapy water to drown them.

Wash pet bedding in hot, soapy water weekly; this is the most likely site for flea eggs and larvae.

Prune foliage and keep grass trimmed short to increase sunlight, as flea larvae cannot survive in hot, dry areas. Remove any piles of yard debris close to your home.

Bathe pets weekly, if possible, to get rid of fleas. If bathing is not an option, speak to your veterinarian about appropriate alternatives.

Watch your pet for signs of flea trouble: excessive scratching and biting, especially around the tail and lower back, and possibly raw patches where the animal has been biting and scratching himself. Also watch for ‘flea debris’ (black, granular dried blood) and fleas themselves on your pet’s skin.

Talk to your veterinarian about various treatments for your flea-plagued pet: a flea adulticide applied monthly to the skin; a monthly pill that prevents fleas from reproducing but doesn’t kill adult fleas; and multipurpose products that prevent flea reproduction and control heartworms, hookworms, whipworms and roundworms. Also consider flea collars and flea powders.

Look into chemical flea-treatment products to apply by hand around the environment in spray or powder form. Ask your veterinarian for a recommendation on the best product and how to use it.

You can try this home remedies to get rid of fleas
