I’ve heard of a similar method using a tray or bowl of soapy water and an adjustable lamp. The lamp must have an INCANDESCENT bulb, as a flouorescent bulb won’t produce the heat needed to attract the fleas.
Take a lamp with the light on an adjustable arm and position the light over the water. This prevents the fire hazard of leaving a burning candle unattended, but make sure that the lamp is stable and won’t fall over onto a carpet or into the water, otherwise it’s just another kind of hazard.
Another way to get rid of fleas from your pets is to add a 3 tablespoons of white organic vinegar to about 1 gallon of water and let the pets drink that water from now on.
I’ve heard people use Apple cider vinegar instead, not sure if it works though, but white organic vinegar definately works on pets… it will take a few days to see results, and you’ll never see fleas on your pets again if you keep giving them that mixture to drink daily instead of plain water.
